My Story


I am so thankful for everything that God has given me; especially my childhood. I grew up on a small farm in Milford, Delaware. My brother and I did not have a TV or tons of toys; instead we had woods, fields, and farm work to keep us busy. I remember walking through the woods and stopping to study the smallest details of every little plant and creature I saw, and walking through muddy fields to admire the massive beauty of the landscapes around me. Indoors I created my own games, colored, drew and painted; teaching myself art. As I grew, so did my imagination, creativity, and artistic talent. I never took my art seriously or saw it as a business venture, but that is exactly what it has become. A gift, one small painting that still sits in my mother's kitchen, became the first of many note cards that started my business Simply Nice Gifts. It still surprises me how fast and well everything has gone. I have expanded Simply Nice Gifts to include gifts, home decor, note cards, and custom invitations with coordinating party supplies. I am very thankful to all my family and friends who have worked hard and still support me through my entire business venture - I give them the credit for my success.
